Pre-Qualification of Production Houses for Film, Drama, and Documentary Production for Financial Year 2026-27

The Information Department, Government of Sindh, Karachi, invites applications for the pre-qualification of production houses for the production of films, dramas, and documentaries for the Financial Year 2026-27. These projects aim to raise public awareness, build narratives, showcase Sindh’s rich cultural heritage, and promote key government initiatives. The department seeks to enlist reputable and skilled production houses to ensure consistent quality and impactful government messaging. Items being procured: - Pre-qualification of production houses for film production - Production of dramas - Production of documentaries The technical scope requires production houses to have valid media production licenses and employ a team of skilled creative professionals including directors, writers, cinematographers, and editors. Applicants must demonstrate financial stability through tax returns, audited financial statements, and bank account statements. The content produced must adhere to ethical standards, cultural sensitivities, and relevant regulations. Eligibility criteria include registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), and Sindh Revenue Board (SRB). Production houses must possess valid media licenses and demonstrate experience in creative production. The pre-qualification documents can be obtained from the office of the Director Information (Films), Information Department, Government of Sindh, located at Barrack No. 84, Sindh Secretariat No. 4-B Court Road, Karachi, from 06-07-2026 to 20-07-2026 during office hours until 11:00 AM on the last date. A non-refundable fee of Rs. 2,000 must be paid via pay order or demand draft in favor of the Director Information (Films). Completed pre-qualification documents must be sealed and submitted to the same office by 20-07-2026 till 11:00 AM. After initial evaluation, shortlisted production houses will be invited to deliver presentations before the Selection Committee. The Information Department reserves the right to reject any or all applications without providing reasons. A practical tip for bidders: Ensure all financial and legal documentation is complete and up to date before submission, as incomplete or non-compliant applications will be disqualified early in the process.
