Tender Description
The National Bank of Pakistan (Engineering) invites sealed bids for the procurement of 06 KVA UPS units with 4x230Ah dry sealed lead acid maintenance free batteries for different NBP branches across Pakistan. This procurement is planned for the financial year 2026-27 and aims to enhance power backup systems at various bank locations. The procurement will be conducted through the e-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (EPADS) v2.0 using a Single Stage-One Envelope procedure with Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS) technique.
Items being procured:
- Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of 06 KVA UPS (True On Line Double Conversion, pure sine wave, input voltage 165-275VAC, output voltage 220/230VAC, power factor 0.7)
- Batteries for above UPS (12V, 4x230Ah, dry sealed lead acid maintenance free)
- Main power cabling (Cu/PVC/PVC cables, 6mm2, 3-core)
- Miniature circuit breaker (16A, Make: Schneider, Terasaki, ABB or equivalent)
The technical scope includes supply and installation of UPS units and batteries, laying and connection of power cables, and installation of miniature circuit breakers. The UPS units must meet specified technical parameters including online topology, voltage and frequency tolerances, overload protection, and certifications such as IEC/EN 62040 standards. Bidders must have at least five years of experience in Pakistan, proven track record of installing 6 KVA UPS units, office presence in Karachi and Quetta for after-sales service, and meet financial and technical staff requirements.
Bids must be submitted electronically via EPADS v2.0 by Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Manual submissions will not be accepted. Bid security in the form of Pay Order, Banker's Cheque, or Bank Guarantee must be submitted physically before the deadline to the Procurement Division office at NBP Head Office Building, I.I Chundrigar Road Karachi. Bids will be opened on the same day at 11:30 AM via EPADS v2.0.
Interested bidders should register on EPADS v2.0 and refer to the detailed bidding documents available online. The National Bank of Pakistan (Engineering) reserves the right to reject any or all bids. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure timely submission of both electronic bids and physical bid security to avoid disqualification.
This procurement offers a valuable opportunity for qualified suppliers to provide high-quality UPS systems to a leading national financial institution, supporting uninterrupted banking operations across Pakistan.
