Tender Description
The Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) in Wah Cantt is procuring compressors and battery banks required for the repair and maintenance of conditioned freezing chambers and related equipment. This procurement is specifically for semi-hermetic compressors of various specifications including 2 stage, 3 phase compressors and battery banks with detailed technical specifications such as voltage, current, and control features.
The technical scope includes supply of compressors for reciprocating AC chillers, conditioning vans, and freezing chambers, along with battery banks featuring input power supply, output charging voltage, and protection mechanisms. Suppliers are required to submit detailed technical brochures and literature along with their offers. The tender follows a single stage two envelope method with separate technical and commercial bids.
Eligible bidders must be registered with the relevant PEC categories, have active FBR registration on the Active Taxpayers List (ATL), and demonstrate prior experience in supplying similar equipment. Firms registered with SECP are also eligible. A non-refundable tender fee of Rs. 500 and bid security as per specified percentages of quoted value are mandatory. The tender requires earnest money in the form of call deposit receipts or bank guarantees.
The tender was published on 2nd April 2026, with the submission deadline and opening scheduled for 20th May 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Bid Centre adjacent to Rabita Hall, POF Wah Cantt. Offers must be submitted both electronically via www.ebidding.pof.gov.pk and in hard copy form. Late submissions will not be entertained.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure strict compliance with the two-part submission format, providing a signed and stamped technical offer without price details in the technical envelope, and a separate commercial offer. This adherence is crucial to avoid rejection. Also, attaching an acceptable tender sample where required and ensuring all tax and registration documents are up to date will strengthen the bid.
