Tender Description
The Bahria University Health Sciences Campus, Karachi (Bahria University) is inviting sealed bids for the procurement and complete installation of a new inverter system and control panel for Elevator # 02 at their Karachi campus. This procurement is planned for the financial year 2026-27 and is being conducted under the Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS) method using the Single Stage-Two Envelope procedure through the EPADS v2.0 e-procurement portal. Items being procured:
- New Inverter System & Panel for Elevator # 02 (1 unit)
The technical specifications include a 30 KW integrated lift control panel with VVVF vector control driver, input voltage 380-415 VAC 3 phase, output voltage 0-415 VAC variable frequency, supporting the existing Hyundai lift motor. The control method is close loop vector control with incremental encoder support, floor leveling accuracy ±3mm, smooth acceleration and deceleration, and communication via CAN Bus / RS-485. Protection features include over voltage, under voltage, over current, short circuit, phase loss, motor overload, and over temperature. The system is rated IP20 and designed for operating temperatures from -10 °C to 45 °C. Complete supply, installation, testing, and commissioning are required.
Eligibility criteria require bidders to be active taxpayers with NTN, SST, and GST registration, have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in procurement, installation, repair, and maintenance of inverter systems and panels for elevators, and not be blacklisted by any government or semi-government organization. A site visit to BUHSCK prior to bidding is compulsory. The supplier warranty shall remain valid for one year after supply and installation completion.
Bids must be submitted online through EPADS v2.0 by Monday, September 14, 2026 at 11:00 AM. The original bid security in the form of a Pay Order must be submitted physically to Bahria University Health Sciences Campus Karachi, Sailor Street, Adjacent PNS Shifa DHA Phase - II, Karachi before the bid submission deadline. Manual bid submissions will not be entertained. Bids will be opened on the same day at 11:30 AM via EPADS v2.0. The procuring agency reserves the right to reject all bids without assigning any reason.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure timely registration on EPADS v2.0 and complete the mandatory site visit before submitting bids to avoid disqualification. Also, carefully follow the technical specifications and submit all required documents including bid security and affidavits to meet eligibility requirements.
