Tender Description
The National University of Technology (NUTECH) Islamabad is procuring a comprehensive collection of library books under tender number TD-370. This procurement is specifically for the Islamabad campus, aiming to enhance the academic resources available to students and faculty. The scope includes a wide range of technical, scientific, and academic books covering subjects such as data science, artificial intelligence, engineering, environmental science, management, and more. The procurement is on a FOR basis, requiring delivery to NUTECH Islamabad.
The technical scope demands original, brand-new books with complete specifications including brand names, model numbers, manufacturer details, country of origin, and warranty information. Re-conditioned or refurbished items are strictly prohibited. Bidders must submit their bids electronically via EPADS using the Single Stage Single Envelope procedure. An earnest money deposit in the form of a CDR amounting to Rs 54,200 is mandatory, along with a tender fee of Rs 1,000. The delivery period is set at 90 days from the contract signing date.
Eligibility criteria require bidders to be registered with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) as active taxpayers and to provide valid NTN/GST certificates. OEM authorization certificates and original bid security must be submitted. The tender documents specify that offers must remain valid for 90 days from the date of financial bid opening. Non-compliance with submission requirements or incomplete documentation may lead to disqualification.
The submission deadline is **30 April 2026** at 1100 hours, with bid opening at 1130 hours on the same day. Bids must be submitted through the EPADS portal, and original bid security must be delivered to the Supply Chain Management Office at NUTECH Islamabad before the closing time. Contact details for queries include phone number 051-5476768 ext 308 & 278 and emails staff.scm2@nutech.edu.pk and proc.office@nutech.edu.pk.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure strict adherence to the prescribed formats for annexures and to provide complete technical literature and OEM certificates. Any deviation or incomplete documentation can result in outright rejection. Also, timely submission of the original CDR and tender fee before the closing time is crucial to avoid disqualification. This tender offers a significant opportunity for suppliers specializing in academic and technical books to engage with a reputable public sector university in Islamabad.
