Tender Description
The Pakistan Security Printing Corporation (Procurement) invites sealed bids for the procurement of 1000 MICR Red Bleed Ribbons to be used in MICR Impact Printers at their facility located at Jinnah Avenue, Malir Halt, Airport Sub-Division, Malir, Karachi. This procurement is planned for the financial year 2026-27 and will be conducted through the e-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (EPADS) v2.0 using the Single Stage Two Envelope method with Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS).
Items being procured:
- MICR Red Bleed Ribbons, Quantity: 1000 Nos., Width: 140 mm, Length: 210 meters per roll, Inner Core Diameter: 42.5 mm without notch, Color and red bleed characteristic with 48 hours visibility.
The ribbons must be new, unused, factory-manufactured, and free from defects. They must comply with E-13B MICR character printing standards and ISO requirements for magnetic signal performance. The supplier must provide a complete 210-meter ribbon sample for technical evaluation along with the manufacturer's technical data sheet. The ribbons should originate from the UK, USA, or EU and be delivered in original sealed packaging within 90 days after issuance of the purchase order.
Eligibility requires FBR registration and submission of bid security in the form of Pay Order or Bank Guarantee. Bidders must be registered on EPADS v2.0 to participate. Technical and financial bids must be submitted online through EPADS v2.0 by Friday, October 16, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Bids will be opened on the same day at 11:30 AM. Manual submissions are not accepted.
The procuring agency reserves the right to reject all bids. Bid security must be submitted physically before the deadline to the Pakistan Security Printing Corporation office in Karachi. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a 5% performance guarantee. Bidders are advised to carefully review the detailed technical specifications and terms in the bidding documents available on EPADS.
