This procurement focuses on critical laboratory services including PCR, DNA extraction, and related equipment and consumables as detailed in Annex-A of the tender documents. The scope covers provision of high-quality services for 100 samples each of DNA extraction from blood, PCR for Salmonella STY01, PCR for ceftriaxone resistance, primers for STY01 and CTX, agarose gel electrophoresis, and master mix for real-time PCR. The services must meet stringent quality and analysis standards as per NUMS requirements.
Eligible bidders must be registered companies with valid NTN and GST registrations, maintain a bank account, and provide a bid security of 2% of the total bid value in the form of CDR, demand draft, or pay order in favor of NUMS. Blacklisted firms or those with unresolved tax or legal issues are disqualified. Bidders should submit complete and signed bidding documents, including technical and financial bids, following the Single Stage Two Envelope procedure.
The deadline for submission is 21st May 2026 before 1030 hours, with bids to be delivered in sealed envelopes to NUMS at ATR Building, Adiyala Road, Rawalpindi. Late or incomplete bids will be rejected. The bid opening will occur on the same day at 1030 hours in the presence of the Tenders Opening & Evaluation Committee. Payment will be made after successful delivery and acceptance of services, with no advance payments.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all required documents, including affidavit of non-blacklisting and technical catalogues, are complete and properly signed to avoid disqualification. Attention to detail in the bid security and adherence to submission deadlines is crucial for successful participation in this tender. This opportunity is ideal for firms with proven experience in molecular biology services and compliance with government procurement regulations.
