Tender Description
Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT) invites sealed bids from eligible manufacturers, authorized dealers, distributors, and suppliers for the procurement of specialized tooling for CNC Lathe Machines. This procurement is specifically for 18 distinct tooling items required for the newly installed CNC Lathe Machine at the Gun Factory, HIT Taxila Cantt, Punjab. The items include various axial holders, collet sets, inserts, threading tools, and rifling cutting bits from reputed brands such as Baruffaldi, Sandvik, and Widia/Sandvik, all critical for manufacturing barrels of 125mm and 155mm calibers.

The technical scope includes supply of brand new tooling conforming to approved drawings and specifications, with OEM certificates and quality assurance. Delivery is expected within 2 months after contract signing, with destination at Gun Factory, HIT Taxila. Bidders must be registered with HIT or provide valid agency agreements and meet eligibility criteria including NTN and Sales Tax registration. Earnest money of Rs 2000/- postal order must accompany the technical bid.
Bids will be submitted in two envelopes: Technical Proposal (with muted bid security) and Financial Proposal (with actual bid security). The bid submission deadline is 16 September 2026 at 10:30 hours at Gate No 5, Heavy Industries Taxila. Technical bids will be opened the same day at 11:00 hours in the Supply Chain Management Directorate office. Late bids will not be accepted.
A practical tip for bidders: Ensure all mandatory documents including registration, audit reports, CNIC copies, and OEM certificates are complete and attached to avoid disqualification during technical evaluation. Strict adherence to bid validity and submission instructions is essential to remain eligible.
This procurement follows PPRA and Ministry of Defence Production rules with evaluation based on least cost method and technical compliance. Heavy Industries Taxila reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids without assigning reasons.
