Providing and Fixing of Hand Pumps in Different Villages of District Sujawal

The District Council Sujawal is inviting bids for the provision and fixing of hand pumps in different villages of District Sujawal, Sindh. The works include excavation for tanks and reservoirs in slushy or deadly soils, cement concrete brick stone ballast, pacca brick work in foundation, cement concrete plain including screening and washing at stone aggregate, cement plaster, laying and fixing of high density polyethylene (HDPE-100) pipes, providing G.I pipes and fittings, supplying and installing PVC strainers, boring and fixing pressure pipes, fixing hand pumps (machine only), and providing wooden plugs. Items being procured: - Excavation for tanks and reservoirs - Cement concrete brick stone ballast 1 1/2" to 2" gauge - Pacca brick work in foundation - Cement concrete plain - Cement plaster 1:6 up to 12" height - Laying & fixing HDPE pipes 40 mm - Providing G.I pipes, specials, clamps - Supplying and installing PVC strainers 100 mm - Boring & fixing 1 1/2" dia pressure pipe - Fixing hand pumps (machine only) - Wooden plugs - Providing & fixing hand pump machine with accessories The technical scope covers all civil and plumbing works related to installation of hand pumps including excavation, pipe laying, concrete works, and finishing. The site is spread across various villages in District Sujawal. The contractor must be licensed by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) if the work exceeds Rs. 2.5 million and must be registered with FBR/ATL. Experience in similar water supply and sanitation projects is required. The bid security is 5% of the estimated cost and the bid validity period is ninety days.
