Tender Description
Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Engineering Department invites bids for the provision and installation of paver blocks and repair of sewerage lines at Christen Colony, Natha Khan Goth, Shah Faisal Colony District Korangi, Karachi. This tender covers comprehensive civil works including excavation, laying of RCC pipes, construction of manholes, refilling, dismantling road metalling, pumping water from trenches, manufacturing and supplying RCC manhole covers and ring slabs, earthwork excavation, cartage of materials, laying aggregate base course, asphalt carpet laying, and fixing cement paving blocks.
Items being procured:
- Excavation for pipe line in trenches and pits
- Providing fence guards, lights, flag sand temporary crossings
- Laying RCC pipes of ASTM 76-70 class-II
- Constructing manholes with B.B. cement sand mortar
- Refilling excavated trenches with compaction
- Dismantling and removing road metalling
- Pumping set hire charges for water removal
- Manufacturing and supplying RCC manhole covers and ring slabs
- Earthwork excavation in ordinary soil
- Cartage of materials like aggregates, coal, lime, bricks
- Providing and laying aggregate base course
- Laying 2" thick carpet asphalt concrete paver
- Providing and fixing cement paving blocks flooring
- Repair of leakage of RCC and MS pipe lines under road/street way
The technical scope includes site excavation, pipe laying with rubber ring joints, manhole construction with cement plastering, compaction of refilled material, and installation of high-strength cement paving blocks with natural color and specified strength. The project requires adherence to ASTM standards for pipes and approved specifications for materials and workmanship.
Eligibility criteria include valid PEC registration in relevant category, NTN and SRB active taxpayer status, submission of company profile, experience certificates for similar works in government sector, and availability of required machinery such as bulldozer, motor grader, dump truck, excavator, water pump, and survey equipment. Bidders must submit bid security of 5% of estimated cost and comply with integrity pact requirements.
