Providing & Fixing of Paving Block in Internal Streets of Marvari Lane UC-05, Sadar Zone District South, Karachi

Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) Engineering Department invites bids for the provision and fixing of paving blocks in the internal streets of Marvari Lane UC-05, Sadar Zone District South, Karachi. This tender is issued under the Single Stage One Envelope procedure and aims to engage qualified contractors for civil works involving excavation, pipe laying, manhole construction, sub-base preparation, and paving block installation. Items being procured: - Excavation for pipeline in trenches and pits (soft rock) 6,000 Cft - Providing fence guard, light flags & temporary crossing - P&L RCC pipes ASTM 76-70 Class-II, 12" dia (1,430 Rft) and 15" dia (1,753 Rft) - Refilling excavated material in trenches in 6" layers - Cartage of materials like aggregate, coal, lime, surkhi, M.S bars, bricks etc. - Construction of manholes/inspection chambers with BB walls, cement plaster, and C.I manhole covers - Hire charges of pumping set for water removal from trenches - Manufacturing & supplying RCC ring slabs and manhole covers - Dismantling and removing road metaling - Earthwork excavation in ordinary soil - Preparing sub-base with well graded gravel - Providing and laying aggregate base course with CBR 80% - Paving blocks flooring 197x97x60 mm, strength 5000-8500 psi The technical scope includes all civil works as per specifications and drawings provided by KMC. Contractors must be registered with PEC in the relevant category, possess valid NTN and SRB registration, and meet the eligibility criteria including experience, financial capacity, and equipment availability. Earnest money of 5% of the estimated cost is required in the form of Pay Order/CDR/Bank Guarantee. Bids must be submitted electronically via the SPPRA e-Procurement System (EPADS) by 03-09-2026 at 11:00 AM. The bid opening will be conducted online on the same day at 11:30 AM. Physical submissions are not accepted. The contract duration is 10 months with a penalty of Rs. 3,000 per day for delay.
