Tender Description
The Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi invites bids for the providing, installation, testing, and commissioning of a Fire Hydrant System at its Main Campus in Karachi. This tender is issued by the Procurement Department of IBA Karachi and is open to bidders registered with active tax status and PEC Category C-6 or above with relevant specialization ME-02. The project involves supply and installation of a single stage two fire hydrant system compliant with NFPA-20 standards.
Items being procured:
- Fire Pump Set including Electric Motor Driven Vertical Turbine Pump (500 US GPM @ 8 Bar)
- Electric Driven Jockey Pump (50 US GPM @ 9 Bar)
- Fire Pump Controller and Jockey Pump Controller
- MS Schedule 40 Seamless Pipes (DN150, DN100, DN65)
- HDPE Pipes (160mm, 110mm)
- Main Power Cable 70mm 4 core PVC/PVC
- Fire Sensing Line components including SS tubing, tees, check valves, globe valves
- Valves and Accessories including OS&Y Gate Valves, Ball Valve with Strainer, Check Valves, Flexible Connectors
- Landing Valves/Fire Hydrant Valves with quick coupling hoses and nozzles
- Fire Pipe Line Painting and Stenciling
The technical scope includes installation over existing underground tank with foundation and vibration dampers, cutting holes in tank roof slab for pump shaft, and provision of chain block for maintenance. The system must comply with NFPA-20 and local fire protection bylaws. Bidders must submit technical data sheets, certificates of compliance, warranty for minimum 10 years, and confirmation of spare parts availability for at least 10 years.
Eligibility requires PEC registration C-6 or above, NTN, GST, SRB registration, and experience in similar fire fighting projects. The tender fee is Rs. 5,000 non-refundable. Earnest Money of 2% of estimated cost is required. Performance Security of 5% of bid price is to be furnished within 7 working days of Letter of Acceptance.
Key dates include issuance from July 20, 2026, site visit on July 31, 2026 at 11 AM, and bid submission deadline on August 5, 2026 at 2:30 PM. Bids must be submitted through SPPRA EPADS system and original bid security delivered to IBA Karachi before bid opening at 3:00 PM on August 5, 2026.
