Tender Description
The Power Information Technology Company (PITC) based in Lahore is procuring 200 Mbps internet bandwidth from a Tier 1 Internet Service Provider. This procurement is critical for ensuring reliable and high-speed connectivity at the Aiwan-e-Iqbal Complex, Edgerton Road, Lahore. The scope includes installation of a primary fiber optic link from WAPDA House to PITC office and a backup radio link to guarantee uninterrupted service. The bidder must provide a failover device at PITC premises to automatically switch to backup in case of primary link failure.
The technical requirements specify that the ISP must be a registered Tier 1 provider with proven experience and capability to deliver redundant internet connectivity with unlimited downloads and traffic. The bidder must submit a detailed technical and financial bid in a single sealed envelope, including a Bill of Quantities and all required certificates. The evaluation will consider company profile, technical expertise, client references, and response time guarantees. The contract is initially for two years, extendable by mutual consent.
Eligible bidders should have valid FBR and PTA registrations, at least three years of business experience, and must not be blacklisted by any government entity. Earnest money of Rs. 50,000 is required as bid security, refundable upon completion. The tender document cost is Rs. 5,000 non-refundable. The submission deadline is 06-07-2026 at 11:00 AM at the Aiwan-e-Iqbal Complex, Lahore.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all pages of the tender are signed and to provide comprehensive documentation of their technical solution, including diagrams of ISP bandwidth sources and backup arrangements. This will enhance the technical score and improve chances of contract award. Timely submission and compliance with all terms will avoid disqualification.
