Tender Description
The Directorate of Works and Civil Engineering (PAF) Chaklala invites experienced contractors to submit sealed tenders for the provision of certain facilities at the PAF Base Chaklala in Punjab. This procurement is for emergency works under PPRA Rule 42-c (v) of 2004, involving multiple packages with significant financial allocations ranging from approximately Rs. 10 million to over Rs. 73 million for various facility provisions at the base.
The scope includes construction and civil works related to the development and maintenance of facilities within the PAF Base. Contractors must have relevant experience and be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), specifically in categories A and B, and be on the approved list of the Military Engineer Services (MES). Firms must also be registered with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and maintain an Active Taxpayer List (ATL) status. The tender documents will only be issued to firms that meet these eligibility criteria and have sufficient experience in similar works.
Tender submissions must be received by 1130 hours on 07 July 2026, with the opening scheduled at 1200 hours on the same day. Applications should include complete credentials and technical bids as per the tender requirements. The tender process emphasizes the importance of submitting earnest money and a valid CDR as part of the bid security. Contractors are advised to ensure no litigation or adverse reports exist against them from government departments, as certification to this effect is mandatory.
A practical tip for bidders is to carefully review the tender documents for detailed technical specifications and ensure timely submission to avoid disqualification. Early preparation of the technical and financial bids, along with proper documentation of PEC registration and past experience, will enhance the chances of success in this competitive tender.
