Tender Description
The Jinnah International Airport under the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) in Karachi invites sealed bids for the provision of sun sheds with allied works at entry points of JIAP Karachi. This procurement is planned for the financial year 2026-27 and aims to enhance passenger comfort and safety at the airport entry points by installing high-quality tensile fabric sun sheds along with associated civil works.
Items being procured:
- Aluminum Speed Breakers (190 running feet)
- Traffic Lanes Guidance fixed PU bollards (70 units)
- Traffic road signs category-1 (9 units)
- Tensile Fabric Shed in canopy shape with steel pipe framework and high-tenacity polyester fabric covering (3000 square feet)
The scope includes installation of aluminum speed breakers with epoxy fixing, PU bollards with reflective stickers, traffic road signs fixed in cement concrete, and tensile fabric sheds supported by MS pipe structures with base plates and concrete pits. The works must comply with the technical specifications and drawings provided by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Eligible bidders must have PEC registration in category C6 or above with specialized codes CE-10, valid FBR Active Taxpayer status, and meet all legal and technical eligibility criteria including bid security of Rs. 700,000. The contract duration is 90 days from commencement.
Bids must be submitted electronically via the e-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (EPADS) v2.0 portal by Tuesday, October 20, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Technical bids will be evaluated first, and only those meeting the minimum 70% technical score will have their financial bids opened. The selection method is Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS).
The bid security must be submitted in the form of Pay Order or Call Deposit Receipt. Performance guarantee of 5% of contract price will be required from the successful bidder. Bidders are advised to carefully review the bidding documents, including the detailed specifications, eligibility criteria, and submission instructions available on EPADS.
A practical tip for bidders: Ensure timely registration on EPADS v2.0 and upload all required documents including signed and stamped bidding forms, BOQ, and bid security to avoid disqualification.
