Tender Description
Shaikh Zayed Hospital (Shaikh Zayed Postgraduate Medical Institute (SZPGMI), Lahore) invites sealed bids through the e-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (EPADS) for the purchase of Cochlear Implants (Hearing Devices) funded by the Government of Pakistan Ministry of Poverty Alleviation & Social Safety, Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal and other sources for the financial year 2026-2027. The procurement is for an annual contract with an estimated cost of Rs. 315 Million. Items being procured:
- Cochlear Implants Internal Unit (quantity approx. 150 devices)
- Cochlear Implants External Unit
The technical scope includes supply of FDA/CE/ARTG approved cochlear implants with specifications such as multi-channel internal components, MRI compatibility, digital speech processors, dual microphones, remote control, dust and splash proof external units with rechargeable batteries, Bluetooth compatibility, and comprehensive warranty covering internal units for 10 years and external components for 3 years. The supplier must provide all necessary hardware, software, surgical equipment, intra-operative telemetry systems, and operational materials free of cost to Shaikh Zayed Hospital, Lahore. The firm must have a minimum of 10 years of experience, valid authorization from the foreign manufacturer, DRAP registration, and a wide service network across Pakistan providing after-sale service within 48 hours. Bid security of Rs. 6,300,000 (2%) is required. Bids must be submitted online on EPADS v2.0 by October 5, 2026, 11:00 AM, with hard copy of bid security submitted physically to the Pharmacy Department SZH, University Road, New Muslim City, Lahore. Technical bids will be opened first, followed by financial bids of technically responsive bidders. The contract will be awarded on Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS) basis. Bidders must be registered on EPADS and comply with all eligibility criteria including financial soundness, past performance, and technical capability. The successful bidder will provide a 3% performance guarantee and comply with all terms and conditions including delivery within 30 days of purchase order. One practical tip for bidders: Ensure timely registration and submission on EPADS v2.0 and provide complete documentation including manufacturer authorization and DRAP registration to avoid disqualification.
