Tender Description
The Federal Government Polyclinic Islamabad (FGPC-PGMI) is procuring electro-medical equipment specifically for the Paeds Department under the PSDP project titled Strengthening and Up-Gradation of Cardiology and other Departments for the financial years 2025-26 and 2026-27. This procurement is based in Islamabad Capital Territory and aims to enhance the medical infrastructure with advanced equipment.
The technical scope includes the supply of an ECHO Machine and an Ultrasonic Heavy Duty Nebulizer. The ECHO Machine must be a digital echocardiography unit suitable for pediatric and adult cardiovascular imaging, featuring a 23-inch HD LCD monitor, multiple operation modes including Doppler and ECG gating, and compatibility with various probes. It requires a three-year warranty with planned preventive maintenance and prompt service response. The Ultrasonic Heavy Duty Nebulizer should deliver medication in aerosol form with ultrasonic energy, adjustable nebulizing time, and a capacity of at least 150 ml, also covered by a three-year warranty and maintenance support.
Eligible bidders must comply with PEC registration requirements, have FBR/ATL registration, and demonstrate at least three years of experience supplying electro-medical equipment to public or tertiary care hospitals. Quality certifications such as FDA 510K, CE, MHLW, or ISO13485 for local instruments are mandatory. Bidders must submit technical brochures, quality certifications, and undertake to provide samples and demonstrations if required.
The tender was published on June 10, 2026, with a closing date and time of June 26, 2026, at 09:00 AM. Bids must be submitted electronically via EPADS v2.0, and the original bid security must be physically submitted to the Federal Government Polyclinic Islamabad before the deadline. The bid opening will occur on the same day at 09:30 AM. The procurement will follow the Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS) method.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure timely registration on EPADS v2.0 and to prepare all required documentation, including technical brochures and quality certifications, well in advance. Early submission of bid security in the prescribed form is crucial to avoid disqualification. Familiarity with the detailed technical specifications and warranty obligations will enhance the chances of success in this competitive procurement.
