Tender Description
National Investment Trust Limited Administration Department Karachi invites bids for the purchase and maintenance support of Next Generation Firewall at its Disaster Recovery Site in Karachi. This procurement is specifically for principle-backed annual maintenance support including parts and labor for the Palo Alto PA 850 Firewall installed at the DR site. The contract duration is one year with possibility of extension upon mutual agreement.
The technical scope includes providing premium partner support, threat prevention subscriptions, and local principal-backed maintenance as per detailed specifications. The vendor must perform quarterly preventive maintenance, ensure genuine parts replacement, and provide 24x7 support with rapid response and resolution times. The service also covers configuration changes, OS upgrades, and backup equipment to minimize downtime.
Eligible bidders must be authorized partners of the principal manufacturer in Pakistan, registered with Income Tax and Sales Tax Departments, and listed on the Active Taxpayers List of the Federal Board of Revenue. They should have at least three years of operation in Pakistan, provide maintenance support to a minimum of three customers for two years, and have resident certified engineers. Submission requires a complete technical and financial bid including company profile, partner authorization, tax certificates, and signed technical specifications.
Bids must be submitted electronically only through the E-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (EPADS) by July 10, 2026 at 3:00 PM. Late or manual submissions will not be accepted. The bid opening will be held the same day at 3:30 PM at NIT's office in Karachi. Interested bidders should register on EPADS and may contact PPRA Islamabad for technical assistance.
A practical tip for bidders is to conduct a thorough site visit and equipment inventory before submission to verify compliance with technical specifications and ensure accurate pricing. This will help avoid disqualification due to non-conformance or incomplete documentation. Earnest Money is not explicitly mentioned but compliance with bid securing declaration is mandatory. The financial bid should be quoted in Pak Rupees and include all applicable taxes.
