Rehabilitation / Reconstruction of Internal Streets of UC-06 Ahsanabad Sohrab Goth Town, District East, Karachi Metropolitan Corporation

The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) Engineering Department invites bids for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of internal streets of UC-06 Ahsanabad Sohrab Goth Town, District East, Karachi. This tender covers comprehensive civil works including excavation, laying of RCC pipes, construction of manholes, preparation of sub-base, asphalt concrete wearing course, and installation of precast edge blocks and paving blocks. Items being procured: - Excavation for pipeline in trenches and pits in soft rock - Providing fence guards, lights, flags, and temporary crossings - Laying RCC pipes of various diameters (12", 15", 18") - Refilling excavated trenches - Constructing manholes and inspection chambers with C.I manhole covers - Preparing sub-base with well graded gravel - Pumping out water from trenches - Manufacturing and supplying RCC ring slabs and manhole covers - Dismantling and removing road metaling and cement concrete - Earthwork excavation in ordinary soil - Cartage of materials like stone aggregate, coal, lime, bricks, etc. - Providing and laying aggregate base course - Laying asphalt concrete wearing course - Providing and fixing precast edge blocks and painting kerb blocks - Providing and fixing cement paving blocks flooring The scope includes all necessary materials, labor, equipment, and supervision to complete the works as per specifications and drawings. Bidders must be licensed by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in the appropriate category and comply with all regulatory requirements including FBR/ATL registration. A bid security of 5% of the estimated cost is required. The tender cost is Rs. 5,000. The contract duration is 180 days with a penalty of Rs. 3,000 per day for delay. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes to the Camp Office No.1 Main DG Office Behind Dawood Engineering University Muslimabad New M.A Jinnah Road Karachi by 10:30 AM on 13-10-2026. The bids will be opened on the same day at 11:00 AM in the presence of bidders' representatives at the same venue. Bidders are advised to carefully review the bidding documents, ensure completeness of their submissions including bid security, and comply with all instructions to bidders. Technical and financial bids will be evaluated on the basis of responsiveness, PEC registration, experience, and lowest evaluated price. Earnest money in the form of pay order or bank guarantee is mandatory. The Procuring Agency reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids without assigning any reason.
