Relocation of Tower No. 16 (Type: EA) of 220kV Double Circuit (Nowshera-Mardan and Chakdara – Shahibagh) Twin Bundle Transmission Line at Dera Zhardar, District Charsadda

The National Grid Company of Pakistan (NGCP) invites bids for the relocation of Tower No. 16 (Type: EA) of the 220kV Double Circuit (Nowshera-Mardan and Chakdara – Shahibagh) Twin Bundle Transmission Line at Dera Zhardar, District Charsadda. This project involves comprehensive civil and electrical works to ensure the safe and efficient relocation of the transmission tower and associated infrastructure. Items being procured: - Clearing Right of Way & Mobilization/Demobilization - Providing and casting in situ bored RCC piles in 1:1.5:3 cement concrete with approved crushed stone and coarse sand, including boring and drilling - Supplying and fabrication of intermediate grade deformed reinforcement for RCC piles and beam columns & pile caps - Reinforcement cement concrete work using coarse sand - Dismantling of existing 220kV double circuit twin bundled transmission line including insulators, conductors, ground wire, dampers, and accessories - Dismantling of existing double circuit 220kV Tower (EA+0+2) and transportation to NGC Store Rawat - Transportation and installation of new 220kV Double circuit Tower (EA+0+6) with accessories including U-bolts, V-Shackle, number plates, insulator strings, phase plates, danger plates, anti-climbing devices - Welding of erected tower bolts and nuts up to 8.0 m from foundation chimney - Transportation and installation/stringing of ACSR Rail Conductor (twin bundled, double circuit, 0.7 km span) including insulators, hardware, accessories, and dampers - Transportation and installation of shield wire with hardware assemblies, joint boxes, accessories, and dampers - Testing and commissioning of 220kV transmission line (re-routed section) and OPGW as per NTDC/NGC approved specifications The technical scope includes site clearance, construction of new pile foundations, erection of steel towers, stringing of conductors and shield wires, dismantling of old structures, and comprehensive testing and commissioning. The work site is located at Kheshgi Payan, Dheri Zardad, District Charsadda, a remote location with GPS coordinates 34.057756, 71.837666. Eligibility criteria require bidders to be licensed by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in relevant categories (minimum C-6, CE-10, EE-05), registered with FBR and provincial revenue authorities, and not blacklisted by any government or donor agency. Bidders must demonstrate experience in similar transmission line projects, possess necessary equipment, and provide qualified personnel including an electrical engineer with PEC license.
