Tender Description
The Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (M&P Department) invites bids for the renovation of PNSC Beach Huts N-37 and S-12 located at Sandspit Karachi. This procurement is for civil works under the supervision of PNSC's Engineer and includes a comprehensive scope of renovation activities to be completed within 90 days. The project involves site mobilization and preparation, dismantling and chiseling of existing slabs and beams, and laying of lean concrete and machine-mixed concrete with specified strength. The works also include fixing galvanized metal lath and plaster, fabrication and installation of structural steel sections including MS girders and plates, and application of water-resistant primer and plastic matte finish paint.

- Screed laying for roof drainage
- Waterproofing with two layers of approved emulsion
- Tetrapods casting and placement
- Inspection, as-built preparation and rehabilitation of sewerage lines
- Replacement of damaged wall and floor tiles
- Removal and installation of windows and frames
- Precautionary measures and site setup including barricades
The technical scope covers all materials, labor, and accessories required for the complete renovation of the huts as per drawings and specifications. The structural steel must conform to ASTM A36 standards and be hot-dip galvanized. The contractor must ensure proper gradient and connectivity of sewerage lines, including testing and replacement of defective sections. All works must meet the satisfaction of the Engineer/Client and comply with relevant standards.
Eligibility criteria require bidders to have valid PEC registration in a relevant civil works category (C6 or above), registration with FBR/SRB and appear on the Active Taxpayer List (ATL). Bidders must not be blacklisted and should have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in similar construction or renovation works. Financial capability must be demonstrated through audited financial statements and bank statements.
Key dates include bid submission deadline on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at 11:00 AM via EPADS v2.0. Manual submissions are not accepted. Bid security must be submitted in the form of a Pay Order. The contract includes a 10% performance security and allows sub-contracting up to 20% of the contract value.
