Repair and Beautification Works at Pakistan Meteorological Department HQs Office Islamabad

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) invites bids for comprehensive repair, restoration, and external beautification works at its Headquarters Office located in Sector H-8, Islamabad. This procurement covers multiple buildings including the Executive Block, Admin Block, Capacity Building (R&D), Forecasting Building, Boundary Wall, Parking Sheds, and Residential Quarters. The scope includes civil, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC related works to restore and enhance the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of the premises. Items being procured: - Inspecting and refixing loose tiles with matching size and color, polishing and waterproofing grout application - Removal and remake of weakened plaster and concrete patches - Providing and laying concrete with waterproofing and slope finishing - Application of weather shield paint in two coats - Refixing and relocation of AC outdoor units with refrigerant gas refilling and pipe concealment - Concealing and refixing electrical and networking wires in PVC conduits - Installation and sealing of PVC drain pipes - Providing and fixing CNC grills/jalis of approved design - Rearrangement and fixing of GI/uPVC pipes for plumbing concealment - Installation of waterproof ornamental LED lights (20-50 watts and up to 20 watts) - Repair and casting of plinth protection sections - Brick masonry with cement sand mortar and plastering - Refixing and relocation of temporary store room and metal corrugated sheets - Application of enamel paint on iron works and barbed wire erection - Laying of graphy finish and tuff pavers with sand fill and compaction The technical scope includes repair and refurbishment of walls, floors, ceilings, electrical rewiring and testing, plumbing repairs, HVAC cleaning and adjustments, carpentry repairs, and removal of debris. The works aim to provide a safe, secure, and pleasant working environment with improved operational efficiency. Eligibility criteria require firms to have at least 5 years of experience in civil structures, valid registration with government agencies including PEC, NTN, and sales tax registration, and a clean legal record without blacklisting. Earnest money of Rs. 500,000 in the form of Bank Draft/Pay Order/CDR in favor of D.G. PMD is mandatory.
