Tender Description
This tender invites qualified contractors to undertake repair, maintenance, and construction works at Mauripur PN Dockyard and associated sites in Karachi under the Military Engineering Services. The scope includes minor to major abnormal repair works, supply of fresh water through bowzers, and other related civil and mechanical tasks. The project demands skilled personnel, machinery, and compliance with technical standards to ensure operational readiness of naval facilities.
The works will be executed at multiple locations including Mauripur, PN Dockyard, NSSD, and Lyari Karachi. Contractors must be prepared to handle complex engineering challenges typical of dockyard environments, such as structural repairs, water supply logistics, and electrical/mechanical system maintenance. The site conditions require robust planning and resource management to meet the stringent timelines and quality standards.
Applicants must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council with valid renewal for the 2025-26 financial year and must be on the approved MES contractors list or other government departments with relevant experience. Compliance with FBR/ATL requirements and submission of GST registration and NTN certificates is mandatory. Earnest money of 2% of the estimated bid cost is required from contractors not on the MES approved list, payable via FDR/CDR.
The submission deadline is set for 07 May 2026 at 11:30 AM, with tender opening at 12:00 PM on the same day at the CMES (Navy) COMLOG Karachi office. Interested contractors should ensure timely delivery of sealed bids and prepare for the technical and financial evaluation phases.
Pro-Tip: Carefully review the tender documents for Earnest Money Deposit conditions and ensure all registration certificates are current to avoid disqualification. Also, attend the tender opening to clarify any immediate queries and observe the process for transparency.
