Tender Description
This tender invites contractors in Muzaffarabad to undertake the repair of the PMM main building roof and walls under the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Public Relations department. The scope covers dismantling, shuttering, concrete works, and installation of storm water disposal systems, ensuring structural integrity and safety compliance.
The project involves extensive civil works including scaffolding over 17,850 square feet, dismantling RCC rooftop slabs, and constructing new RCC projection slabs and walls. The use of quality materials such as 1:2:4 concrete and PCC plaster is critical. The site requires careful handling of demolition debris and installation of storm pipes for effective rainwater disposal, addressing the engineering challenges posed by the building's existing structure and local weather conditions.
Bidders should ensure they meet PEC registration requirements for the relevant category and maintain an active FBR ATL status for the fiscal year 2025-26. Submission of Earnest Money in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) is mandatory. Contractors are advised to verify all compliance documents and ensure their technical and financial bids are complete to avoid disqualification.
The submission deadline is set for the 4th of July 2024, with bids opening promptly at 10:00 AM at the APR office in Muzaffarabad. Interested parties must submit sealed hard copies of their bids to the designated address before the closing time to be considered.
Pro-Tip: Make sure to check the newspaper advertisement for specific stamp duty and Earnest Money requirements, which are often overlooked but crucial for bid acceptance.
