Tender Description
The Pakistan Security Printing Corporation (Pvt.) Ltd (Procurement Department) in Karachi is procuring specialized services for the repairing of hydraulic road blockers installed at Shahrah-e-Faisal Estate Gate. This procurement is for the financial year 2026-27 and involves comprehensive repair, servicing, testing, and commissioning to ensure full operational functionality of two hydraulic road blockers.
Items being procured:
- Repairing of Hydraulic Road Blocker No. 1 including supply, installation and commissioning of Control Panel (12" Γ 18") complete
- Supply and installation of Arrow/Cross Traffic Signal Lights with pole and mounting base
- Supply and laying of 3x core 2.5 mm cable with all accessories (Pakistan Cable/Fast Cable/Newage Cable)
- Civil works and welding work as required
- Servicing of hydraulic motor
- Supply of proximity switches
- Supply and installation of Push Button Station with Up, Down and Emergency Stop functions
- Complete testing, commissioning and making the road blocker fully operational
- Repairing of Hydraulic Road Blocker No. 2 with the same scope and items as Blocker No. 1
The technical scope includes all electrical, mechanical, welding, and civil works executed according to recognized engineering practices and safety standards. All materials and spare parts must be new, genuine, and of good industrial quality. The contractor is responsible for site supervision, compliance with safety regulations including provision of PPE, and repair of any damages caused during execution. The work must be completed within 30 calendar days from the issuance of the Purchase Order, with a mandatory site visit required before bid submission.
Eligibility criteria include PEC category compliance, FBR/ATL registration, and proven experience in similar works. Bidders must submit a bid security in the form of Pay Order or Bank Guarantee and comply with all bidding document requirements. The submission deadline is Friday, August 21, 2026, at 11:00 AM via EPADS v2.0 only; manual submissions are not accepted.
A practical tip for bidders: ensure the mandatory site visit is conducted and documented as per instructions to avoid disqualification. Also, carefully prepare the technical and financial bids in accordance with the bidding documents and upload all required annexures and declarations.
The contract includes a one-year comprehensive maintenance warranty post-commissioning. Payment will be made 100% after successful completion, testing, commissioning, and acceptance by PSPC, inclusive of all applicable taxes and duties. The procuring agency reserves the right to reject incomplete or substandard work and require rectification before acceptance.
