Restoration of Block Overhaul and Jet Hangar at Karachi Airport

Pakistan International Airlines Corporation Limited (PIA) invites sealed bids from well reputed National Firms registered with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in C4 - Civil Category or Joint Ventures for the restoration of the Block Overhaul and Jet Hangar at Karachi Airport. The lead contractor in case of joint ventures must be registered with PEC in C4 - Civil Category valid for the year 2026-27. The project aims for complete restoration, rehabilitation, refurbishment, and reactivation of the existing Jet Hangar to make it fully serviceable and suitable for undertaking narrow body aircraft maintenance and associated engineering activities. Items being procured: - Civil Works - Hangar Doors Restoration - Roofing / Cladding - Drainage - Waterproofing - Bird Proofing - Toilets - HVAC & Refrigeration - Electrical / Mechanical Works - Firefighting - Furniture works The scope covers comprehensive civil and mechanical restoration including roofing, drainage, waterproofing, and firefighting systems. Electrical and HVAC works are integral to the project to ensure operational readiness. The site is Karachi Airport, requiring specialized expertise in aviation-related infrastructure. Eligibility criteria include PEC registration in C4 Civil Category, valid for 2026-27, and submission of earnest money of PKR 3 Million as bid security. Bidders must be registered with FBR and on the Active Taxpayers List (ATL). The bidding process follows a Single Stage Two Envelope system with separate technical and financial bids. Bidding documents including Terms of Reference (TORs) and evaluation criteria can be downloaded from www.piac.com.pk. The price of bidding documents is PKR 15,000 (non-refundable) payable via pay order to PIACL. Bids must be submitted by mail or courier to GM-Contract Management, Supply Chain Management Department, PIA Head Office, Karachi, along with original pay orders for tender fee and bid security. The deadline for submission is 11-11-2026 till 10:30 AM (PST). Bids will be opened at 11:00 AM the same day in the presence of bidders who wish to attend.
