Tender Description
Sukkur Electric Power Company (SEPCO) invites bids for the sale of old and unserviceable power transformers and scrap material located at SEPCO Warehouse near 132kV Grid Station Arain Road Sukkur, Sindh. This procurement is managed by the Chief Engineer (Development) Project Management Unit, SEPCO Sukkur. The scope includes disposal of various scrap items such as tower brace mix iron scrap, battery scrap, capacitor cells, and burnt water motor scrap. The materials will be sold on an as-is-where-is basis and bidders must quote rates for the complete tender to be considered.
Eligible bidders must be registered taxpayers with valid CNIC, NTN, and STRN if available. Firms should not be blacklisted or debarred by any government or semi-government organization and must provide an undertaking on non-judicial stamp paper. Bid security in the form of CDR, bank guarantee, or pay order amounting to Pak Rs. 3,529,605/- is required, valid for 120 days from the tender opening date. Bids must be submitted electronically via E-PADS on the PPRA website before the deadline. Physical inspection of the scrap material is allowed from 21-04-2026 to 07-05-2026 during office hours.
The tender will be opened on 07-05-2026 at 12:30 PM in the presence of bidders' representatives. The successful bidder will be responsible for lifting the awarded material within 21 working days and must comply with all safety, environmental, and legal requirements. SEPCO reserves the right to reject any or all bids without assigning reasons. Bidders are advised to carefully review the terms and conditions and ensure their bids meet all requirements to avoid disqualification.
A practical tip for bidders is to thoroughly inspect the scrap material at the designated warehouse before submitting bids to accurately assess the condition and quantity, as no claims will be entertained post-award. Also, ensure the bid security is submitted in the exact name of the Chief Engineer (Dev.) PMU SEPCO Sukkur to avoid rejection.
