Tender Description
The Military Engineer Services (MES) Abbottabad is procuring comprehensive civil works including seepage and roof treatment, construction, repair, renovation, maintenance of residential and non-residential buildings, re-carpeting of roads, and external services at multiple locations including Abbottabad, Shinkiari, and Havelian. Additionally, the supply of bazar materials for engineering and mechanical stores is required to support the stores for Resident Technical Establishments and Technical Commands in Abbottabad.
This tender covers a wide technical scope involving structural repairs, road maintenance, and supply of essential materials. Contractors must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and belong to approved MES categories A, B, C, D, or E, with relevant experience in similar works. Firms must also be free from litigation with government departments and have no adverse reports from the Directorate of Inspection and Evaluation. The tender documents will be issued only to pre-qualified firms after scrutiny of their credentials.
Interested contractors should submit their applications by 30 April 2026 before 11:30 AM, with the tender opening scheduled at 12:00 PM on the same day. The submission and opening will take place at the Military Engineer Services office in Abbottabad. It is essential to provide a complete technical bid along with earnest money in the form of a CDR as per tender requirements. FBR and ATL registration are also mandatory.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all documentation, including PEC registration and performance reports for the last two years, is complete and well-organized. This will facilitate smooth scrutiny and increase the chances of receiving the tender documents. Early submission is advised to avoid last-minute issues, especially given the strict deadline and the competitive nature of MES tenders.
