Tender Description
Pakistan Railways Karachi Division invites experienced firms registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and appearing on the Active Taxpayers List (ATL) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to submit bids for the Signal Portion (Phase-I) including a new link at BQM for an additional one train under the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) in Karachi Division.
Items being procured:
- Signal Portion (Phase-I) including new link at BQM for additional one train under DFC (KMR to MYP)
The work requires firms with PEC registration C-3 or above in the relevant specialization categories EE-04, EE-7, EE-8, EE-11(iv). The approximate cost is Rs. 180,928,500/- with a bid security of Rs. 36,18,570/-. The completion period for the project is three months.
Bidders must submit both Technical and Financial Bids through the E-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (EPADS) version 2.0. Original bid security in the form of Bank Guarantee/CDR/Pay Order favoring the Divisional Accounts Officer, Pakistan Railways Karachi, must be submitted physically before the tender opening. The bid security photocopy must be attached with the Technical Bid. One sealed hard copy of the Technical Bid must also be submitted in the tender box at the office of the Divisional Accounts Officer, Pakistan Railways Karachi.
The deadline for submission is 12:00 PM on 31-10-2026, with bids opening at 12:30 PM the same day. Interested firms can download bidding documents from the EPADS portal (www.epads.gov.pk). Registration with EPADS and PPRA is mandatory to access tender documents. Bids without original bid security will not be entertained.
Pakistan Railways reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids as per PPRA Rule 33(1).
A practical tip for bidders: Ensure your PEC registration category and FBR ATL status are current and clearly documented, and submit your bid security in the correct form and on time to avoid disqualification.
