Tender Description
The Sukkur Water & Sewerage Corporation is procuring the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of solar powered 50000 GPD Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants in three town committees under Sukkur Municipal Corporation, Sindh. This project involves the deployment of advanced solarized RO plants with a capacity of 50000 gallons per day, including UV sterilizers and related equipment, to improve water quality and supply in the Sukkur region.
The technical scope covers the complete setup of RO plants, including solar power systems of 60 KW capacity with mono/bi-facial modules, inverters, mounting structures, electrical wiring, and submersible pumps. The project also includes civil works such as boring of tube wells up to 200 feet, construction of pump rooms, boundary walls with gates, external development, and electrical installations. The solar system components are specified to be of high quality, including Tier A grade modules from reputed manufacturers like Jinko, Canadian, JA, or Longi.
Eligible bidders must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in the relevant category and discipline, possess valid FBR/ATL registration, and demonstrate experience in similar projects. Joint ventures with foreign firms are allowed if partnered with a Pakistani firm. The bid security is Rs. 5.930 million or 5% of the bid cost, and the tender cost is Rs. 5,000. The contract duration is 24 months with liquidity damages of 0.05% per day of delay, capped at 10% of the contract price.
Bids must be submitted by 22nd May 2026 at 11:00 AM to the office of the Executive Engineer (Civil), Sukkur Water & Sewerage Corporation at Sukkur Municipal Corporation. Bids will be opened the same day at 11:30 AM in the presence of bidders or their representatives. The submission requires earnest money in the form of a Call Deposit, Pay Order, Demand Draft, or Bank Guarantee from a scheduled bank in Pakistan. Technical and financial bids will be evaluated under the Single Stage β Two Envelope procedure.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure thorough site visits and detailed technical proposals that address all civil, mechanical, electrical, and solar components comprehensively. Proper documentation of PEC registration, tax compliance, and financial capacity will strengthen the bid. Early preparation of bid security and adherence to submission deadlines will avoid disqualification. This tender offers a significant opportunity for firms specializing in integrated water treatment and solar power solutions in Sindh.
