Tender Description
The Public Health Engineering Department is procuring the solarization of an existing water supply system. This project involves upgrading the current water supply infrastructure by integrating solar power solutions to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability. The scope includes installation of solar panels, electrical connections, and necessary mechanical adjustments to the water supply system.
This tender is crucial for suppliers and contractors specializing in solar power equipment and water supply systems. The project aims to reduce reliance on conventional energy sources by utilizing solar energy, which aligns with national energy conservation goals. The work will be carried out under the supervision of the Public Health Engineering Department, ensuring compliance with technical and safety standards.
Eligible bidders should have relevant PEC categories for electrical and civil works, along with valid FBR registration and an active ATL status. Experience in similar solarization projects or water supply system upgrades will be advantageous. The tender opening date has been extended to 6th May 2026, providing ample time for preparation of technical and financial bids.
Bidders must submit their documents in accordance with the tender requirements, including Earnest Money and CDR as specified. The submission deadline and opening will be strictly observed. It is recommended that bidders carefully review the revised bidding documents available on the official BPPRA website to ensure compliance with the updated eligibility criteria and technical specifications.
A practical tip for bidders is to thoroughly verify the compatibility of solar equipment with the existing water supply infrastructure to avoid technical discrepancies during implementation. Early site visits and consultations with the department can provide valuable insights for a successful bid.
