Tender Description
This tender invites contractors registered with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) for the execution of special repair works at Banglow No.C-3 located within the IESCO 132 KV Grid Station in Sector H-8, Islamabad. The Islamabad Electric Supply Company Limited (IESCO) requires experienced firms to undertake a variety of civil and electrical repair tasks including dismantling, brickwork, RCC work, plastering, painting, flooring, aluminum and steel fittings, electrical wiring, plumbing, and installation of sanitary fixtures. The site is situated in Islamabad, demanding adherence to local construction standards and coordination with IESCO's operational requirements.
The scope covers detailed civil works such as concrete dismantling, brick masonry, plastering, and finishing, alongside electrical installations including wiring, lighting, and exhaust fans. Plumbing works involve pipe laying, sanitary fittings, and water closet installations. The project demands compliance with PEC Category C-6 and specialization code CE-10, with contractors required to have valid PEC registration renewed for 2025-26. Financial stability is essential, with bidders needing to demonstrate a fresh bank balance of at least 50% of the estimated cost. Firms must also provide performance certificates and active registrations with PRA and FBR.
Bidders should ensure their FBR Active Taxpayer List (ATL) status is current and meet all PEC and FBR requirements for the fiscal year 2025-26. The tender mandates a 4% earnest money deposit in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) and a 10% performance security upon award. Bids below 10% of the NIT amount require additional performance guarantees. The contract period is 60 days from commencement, with a one-year defect liability period.
Submission deadline is set for 11:00 AM on 15th April 2026, with bid opening at 11:30 AM the same day at IESCO's office in Sector G/7-4, Islamabad. Bids must be submitted electronically via E-PADS portal with original bid security and printing charges submitted physically before closing time. The physical address for submission and queries is Executive Engineer Civil Division, IESCO, Street No.63, Sector G-8/1, Islamabad.
Pro-Tip: Carefully review the bid security and additional call deposit requirements, especially for bids quoting below 10% of the estimated cost, as non-compliance leads to outright rejection. Also, ensure all PEC and FBR documentation is up to date and uploaded correctly on the E-PADS portal to avoid disqualification.
