Tender Description
The Town Municipal Corporation Manghopir (West) Karachi is procuring services for providing, fixing, repair, and maintenance of the street lights system at Imam Bargah Hur and surrounding areas in Manghopir (West) Karachi. This tender invites experienced firms to undertake electrical works involving installation and maintenance of street lighting systems for a holy occasion. The scope includes supply and laying of PVC insulated copper conductors, installation of 10-Amps switches, fixing of LED moon lights and flood lights, IPC connectors, and PVC tape as per site requirements and instructions of the Engineering In-charge. The estimated cost of this project is **PKR 1,998,990**. Eligible bidders must hold a valid PEC license in category C-06 or above with relevant electrical specialization, NTN certificate, professional tax, SRB certificate, and demonstrate relevant experience with a minimum turnover of three years. The tender documents are available from 7th June 2026 to 22nd June 2026 during office hours at the TMC Manghopir (West) office. Bids must be submitted by 12:00 PM on 22nd June 2026 and will be opened at 12:30 PM the same day in the presence of bidders. Earnest money of 5% of the estimated cost in the form of Pay Order or Bank Guarantee is mandatory with the bid. The successful bidder will also provide a performance guarantee of 5% of the sanctioned cost at the time of agreement. Retention money of 5% will be deducted from running bills and released after the maintenance period. The contract completion period is 45 days with a penalty of PKR 500 per day for delays. Bidders are advised to carefully prepare their technical and financial bids, ensuring all required documents and bid security are attached. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure their Sindh Government Electrical Contractor License is valid and in their own name as per Rule 48 of Electricity Rules 1937, since subletting or using another's license is not permitted and may lead to disqualification.
