The Office of the Superintendent Remand Home & Certified School Karachi, under the Government of Sindh Home Department, invites bids for the supply of food commodities items for the inmates of Remand Home Karachi for the financial year 2026-2027. This procurement is critical to ensure daily nutritional needs of approximately 10,800 inmates are met with quality and timely delivery. Items being procured:

The scope includes supply in phased manner throughout the year as per the procuring agency's requirements. The contractor must maintain at least one week stock of dry food and commodities at the Remand Home store for inspection. Quality standards are strictly enforced; poor or substandard items will be rejected. The contract requires fresh and good quality items daily, with seasonal vegetables supplied as scheduled. The Superintendent Remand Home Karachi will oversee quality assurance.
Eligibility criteria include a minimum of 3 years experience in relevant field, annual turnover of at least PKR 3 million for the last three years, registration with FBR/SRB and Sindh Food Authority, active online taxpayer status, and an affidavit confirming no involvement in crime or blacklisting. A bid security of 2.5% of the bid price in the form of Pay Order or Demand Draft is mandatory. The successful bidder must submit 2% performance security at contract award.
The tender form is available free of cost from the Superintendent Remand Home office Karachi during office hours until 24-07-2026. Bids must be submitted by 1:00 PM on 24-07-2026 at the same office and will be opened at 2:00 PM the same day in presence of bidders. Bidders should ensure their bids are free from erasures and signed properly. The quoted rates must remain valid until 24-07-2026.
