Tender Description
The Infrastructure Development Authority of the Punjab (IDAP) is procuring the supply, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of an Apheresis System (Package No. 18, Lot K1) for the establishment of the Federal Government Polyclinic (PGMI)-II located at G-11/3, Islamabad. This procurement is specifically for advanced hospital equipment to support therapeutic and collection procedures in a major healthcare facility in the capital city.
The technical scope includes a continuous flow apheresis system with features such as a built-in color graphic LCD touch screen, fully automated loading and priming, low extracorporeal volume for small patients, and multiple safety sensors. The system must support various procedures including platelet and plasma collection, therapeutic plasma exchange, RBC exchange, stem cell collection, bone marrow processing, granulocyte collection, and therapeutic platelet and WBC depletion. The equipment should be lightweight, transportable, and capable of connectivity to printers for procedure data. The supplier is responsible for providing all standard accessories, UPS backup, and must ensure compliance with international quality certifications such as FDA 510K, CE, or MHLW.
Eligible bidders include manufacturers or their authorized local agents/importers/distributors registered with relevant Pakistani authorities and possessing valid FBR/ATL registration. Experience in supplying similar medical equipment to Pakistani medical institutions is required, along with financial soundness and technical capability. Joint ventures are allowed with clear designation of lead members and joint liability.
Key dates include the pre-bid meeting on 29th April 2026 at 12:00 HRS PST in Lahore, and the bid submission deadline on 11th May 2026 at 16:00 HRS PST via the EPADS portal. Technical bids will be opened the same day at 16:30 HRS PST at IDAP Lahore office. Bidders must submit original bid security and all required documents electronically and physically as specified. The contract includes a one-year warranty and a five-year extended maintenance contract with comprehensive service coverage.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure timely submission of all required documents on EPADS and original bid security to avoid disqualification. Also, carefully review the technical specifications and compliance requirements to avoid non-responsiveness. Familiarity with the EPADS system and early registration is essential for participation in this procurement.
