Tender Description
Pakistan State Oil Company Limited (PSO) invites quotations for the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a fully functional fire alarm system at Karachi Aviation Station (IPF). This project involves replacing the existing non-functional system with a new, compliant, and certified fire alarm system that meets international and local fire safety standards. The scope includes design, engineering, installation, testing, commissioning, and dismantling of the old system.
Items being procured:
- Fire Alarm Control Panel (1 EA)
- Smoke Detectors (45 EA)
- Manual Call Points (6 EA)
- Heat Detectors (2 EA)
- Sounders with Flashers (6 EA)
- Alarm Bells (6 EA)
- 1.5 sq mm 2 core fire resistant cable (2000 Meters)
- Installation & Commissioning services (1 EA)
The technical scope covers site survey, risk assessment, system design layout, preparation of system architecture and loop drawings, cable routing, compliance with NFPA and local civil defense codes, mounting of devices, cable laying, panel installation, conduit works, testing of device functionality, programming, integration with existing systems, acceptance testing, documentation, and training. The vendor is also responsible for dismantling and handing over the old fire alarm system components.
Eligibility criteria include certified equipment (UL/ATEX), trained and certified technicians for hazardous area installations, and compliance with applicable fire codes (NFPA 72, 70, 30). The project site is within a restricted airport area; therefore, vendors must obtain all necessary police verifications and airport entry passes from ASF authorities.
All work must be completed within 120 days after issuance of the Purchase Order. Bidders should ensure earnest money and other bid security requirements as per PSO instructions. Submission deadline is 03 September 2026.
A practical tip for bidders: Ensure early coordination with airport authorities for timely acquisition of security clearances and entry passes to avoid project delays.
