Tender Description
The Water Management and Irrigation Department Gilgit-Baltistan is inviting sealed tenders for the supply and installation of 08 solar pumping systems (5.5HP) across various districts of Gilgit Baltistan for the financial year 2026-2027 under the National Programme for Enhancing Command Areas in Barani Areas of Pakistan (GB Component) (NPECA).
Items being procured:
- 08 Nos of solar pumping systems (5.5HP)
This project aims to enhance agriculture productivity and farmer profitability by installing solar pumping systems through qualified supply and service companies (SSCs) or firms. The scope includes supply and installation of solar energy systems with a focus on solar installation expertise.
Eligibility criteria require firms to be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in the relevant category EE-11 i.e., (i) Solar, (ii) Solar Energy System & (v) Solar Installation. Firms must not be blacklisted by any government organization and should have relevant experience. A refundable CDR equal to 2% of the quoted price must be attached with the financial bid documents. The number of schemes may be increased or decreased as per department discretion.
A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 22nd October 2026. Bidding documents can be obtained from the office of the Director Water Management & Irrigation Gilgit upon submission of a written application along with PEC registration valid till December 2026, renewal fee receipt for 2026-27, CNIC, NOC for 'No sick project certificate' and 'No litigation certificate' on payment of Rs-5000 (non-refundable). Bidding documents will not be issued on the opening or closing date.
Proposals must be submitted to the office of the Director Water Management & Irrigation Gilgit by 29th October 2026 at 11:00 AM. The tender will be opened on the same day at 11:30 AM.
Bidders are advised to carefully prepare their technical and financial bids according to the single stage two envelope procedure and ensure timely submission to avoid disqualification.
