Tender Description
The National University of Modern Languages (NUML) Islamabad invites bids for the supply and installation of water filters and cartridges on an as and when required basis, valid up to 30th June 2027. This procurement is aimed at ensuring the availability of high-quality water filtration systems and replacement cartridges to maintain safe drinking water standards on campus.
Items being procured:
- Water filter three stage plastic body with multiply cartridges blue complete with installation (5 sets, 3 months warranty)
- Water filter cartridges 0.3 Micron (Multiply) with complete installation (270 pieces, 15 days warranty)
- Water filter cartridges 2 stage CTO block carbon Multiply with complete installation (270 pieces, 15 days warranty)
- U.V Control Module superior quality with installation (5 pieces, 1 month warranty)
- U.V Lamp superior quality with installation (5 pieces, 1 month warranty)
The technical scope includes supply of fine quality water filtration equipment and cartridges with installation at the university campus. The warranty periods vary per item, ensuring quality assurance. Bidders must quote rates only in the tender form and specify make and type. Samples of each item will be checked by the committee before awarding the contract. Delivery is expected within five days of the supply order, with penalties applicable for delays or substandard quality.
Eligibility criteria require firms to be GST and Income Tax registered with a good reputation. Earnest money of 2.5% of the total bid amount in the form of a bank draft in favor of Rector, NUML is mandatory. A non-refundable tender fee of Rs. 2000 is also required. Bidders must submit a recent bank statement to demonstrate financial stability. The bid security will be forfeited if the firm withdraws the offer within the validity period.
Bids must be submitted electronically through the EPADS portal and also in sealed envelopes to the office of Director Administration, Jinnah Block, NUML Islamabad by **21 October 2026 at 1100 Hrs**. The bids will be opened the same day at 1130 Hrs in the presence of bidders. Late submissions or bids sent by fax/email other than EPADS will not be accepted.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure timely submission of both electronic and sealed bids and to provide samples as per specifications to avoid disqualification. Strict adherence to the terms and conditions, including warranty and delivery timelines, will be critical for successful contract award.
