The first scope covers the supply of painting material for a foot over bridge measuring 69'x8' with staircases 2x30'x8' and 120'x8' at Karachi Cantt Station. The second scope involves painting materials for platform shelters and foot over bridge staircases at Landhi-Korangi section, including platform sizes 103'x32', 203'x10'43' and foot over bridge staircases 4x21'.
This procurement is managed by the Pakistan Railways Divisional Office Karachi and requires firms to have valid registration with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and be on the Active Taxpayer List (ATL). Additionally, bidders must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) under Category C-6 or above, with specialization in category CE-10, ensuring technical competence for civil works related to painting and infrastructure maintenance.
The tender process follows a single stage one envelope basis. Bidders must submit their bids through the E-Pak Acquisition & Disposal System (E-PADS) and provide a scanned copy of bid security in the form of Pay Order or Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) from any scheduled bank, favoring the Divisional Accounts Officer, Pakistan Railways Karachi. The original bid security and bidding documents must be submitted in the tender box at the Divisional Accounts Officer's chamber by 11:00 AM on 27-04-2026. Bids will be opened the same day at 11:30 AM in the presence of firm representatives.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure their bid security documents clearly mention the firm or agency name and are prepared well in advance to avoid last-minute delays. Timely submission through E-PADS and physical delivery of original documents is critical to avoid disqualification. This tender offers a valuable opportunity for qualified civil works suppliers in Karachi to engage with Pakistan Railways on significant infrastructure maintenance projects.
