Tender Description

The Printing & Stationery Department, Government of Sindh, Karachi is procuring comprehensive works for the upgradation of the record room and preservation of old records at the Book Depot located in Karachi. This project involves extensive civil, electrical, and furnishing works to modernize the facility and ensure the longevity of valuable archival materials. The technical scope includes rehabilitation of the building structure with cement concrete masonry, plastering, flooring with Verona marble, and installation of aluminum framed sliding windows. Electrical works cover wiring, installation of circuit breakers, earthing, and fitting of air conditioning units including split and floor standing models. The project also entails supply and installation of IT equipment such as Dell PowerEdge servers, computers, printers, photocopiers, and high-performance scanners. CCTV cameras with DVR systems and LED screens for monitoring are part of the security enhancement. Fire safety is addressed through installation of fire extinguishers, fire blankets, and related systems. Furniture and fixtures include office tables, chairs, racks, almirahs, sofas, and computer tables. Eligible bidders must have a minimum annual turnover of PKR 50 million over the last three years, valid FBR and SRB registrations, and technical capacity including PEC registration if applicable. Experience with similar projects and submission of bid security equivalent to 2% of the estimated cost is mandatory. Bids must be submitted in a single envelope containing both technical and financial proposals. The deadline for submission is 01 June 2026 at 09:00 AM at the Printing & Stationery Department office, Gate No. 04, Governor House Compound, Abdullah Haroon Road, Saddar, Karachi. Bidders are advised to carefully prepare their bids in compliance with SPPRA rules and ensure all required documents and affidavits are included. A practical tip for bidders is to thoroughly review the Schedule A Bill of Quantities and ensure pricing reflects all components including civil, electrical, IT equipment, and furniture to avoid disqualification for partial bids.
