Whole Genome Sequencing Services of Two Conifer Species

Pakistan Forest Institute, Peshawar invites e-Bids for Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) Services of two conifer species under the Single Stage – Two Envelope Procedure 6(2)(b) in accordance with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Procurement Authority (KPPRA) Rules 2014, Amendment Act, 2022. This procurement is for the Financial Year 2026–27 and bids are invited from firms duly registered with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) for Income Tax and Sales Tax. Items being procured: - Whole Genome Sequencing Services of two conifer species The technical scope includes providing comprehensive genome sequencing services at the Pakistan Forest Institute, Peshawar. Bidders must ensure high quality and accuracy in sequencing and data analysis as per the institute's requirements. The project aims to support studies on DNA fingerprinting of important Pakistani timbers for their identification and control of illegal trafficking. Eligibility criteria require bidders to be registered with FBR for both Income and Sales Tax. A Bid Security of 2% of the estimated cost in the form of an original CDR in favor of The Forest Geneticist, Pakistan Forest Institute, Peshawar, must be submitted before the e-Bid submission deadline. Only technically qualified bidders will be invited for financial bid opening. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Performance Guarantee equivalent to 10% of the contract value and sign a formal contract agreement prior to award. Key dates include bid submission on the EPADS platform by 24-09-2026 up to 11:00 a.m., with technical bids opening on the same day at 11:30 a.m. Bidding documents are available free of cost on the EPADS Portal KP, KPPRA KP website, and https://www.pfi.gov.pk/.
