Tender Description
This tender invites bids from experienced firms for the supply of a 20/26 MVA 132/11kV power transformer along with all allied accessories in Muzaffarabad under the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Electricity Department. The scope includes the transformer equipped with a self-generating breather, OLTC AVR, and 11kV incoming and outgoing panels. Additional items include control cables and XLPE power cables of various specifications. The project demands high-quality electrical equipment suitable for the region's power distribution network, ensuring reliability and efficiency in operation.
Bidders must have relevant experience with national grid companies or distribution companies and demonstrate a proven track record of manufacturing similar or higher-rated equipment with at least five years of design and manufacturing experience. The site location in Muzaffarabad requires equipment that can withstand local environmental conditions and operational challenges. The technical bid will be evaluated first, followed by the financial bid of technically qualified bidders.
Compliance with PEC categories is essential, and bidders must be registered with FBR/AJK-IRD with active ATL status. Submission of audited financial statements for the last three years is mandatory to prove financial soundness. The bid security must be submitted in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) from a scheduled bank, valid for 28 days beyond the bid validity period. All taxes applicable in AJ&K except GST should be included in the quoted rates.
The submission deadline is **04-02-2026** at **10:00 AM**, with technical bids opening at **10:30 AM** on the same day at the office of the Chief Engineer Electricity, Muzaffarabad. Bidders should submit sealed bids in accordance with the AJ&K Public Procurement Rules, 2017 (amended). The physical address for submission is the Chief Engineer Electricity office in Muzaffarabad.
