Tender Description
National Grid Company (NGC) of Pakistan invites eligible contractors to submit bids for the addition of two 220kV line bays at the existing 220/132kV Grid Station Daharki. The project covers complete civil works, transportation, erection or installation, testing, and commissioning under NGC own resources. The works are to be coordinated through the Executive Engineer EHV-II S&I Division, NGC, Rahim Yar Khan.
The mandatory scope and estimated quantities include: Lot 1, one lot for clearing and grubbing; 6,000 cubic metres of borrow fill and 2,000 cubic metres of excavated foundation fill; 220kV equipment and gantry foundations comprising 19 post insulator foundations, 4 circuit breaker sets, 21 CT/CVT/CCVT/LT foundations, 6 surge arrester foundations, 10 bus or line isolator sets, 8 high-level gantry foundations, 4 foundations of the 13+5.5+4 metre type, and 4 foundations of the 13 metre type. Cable trenches include Type A 100 linear metres, Type B 300 linear metres, Type C 150 linear metres, and Type D 120 linear metres, plus culverts, draw pits, a 150 linear metre PCC road, 250 linear metres of RCC pipes, and PVC conduits of 1,000, 500, and 250 linear metres. River-run gravel is 850 cubic metres. Extra BOQ items include 500 cubic metres excavation, 150 cubic metres each of lean concrete and RCC, 2,000 kilograms reinforcement steel, 125 cubic metres brickwork, 500 square metres plaster, and 20 platforms. Electrical scope includes four circuit breakers, ten isolators, twelve CTs, nine CVTs, six surge arresters, nineteen post insulators, busbars, strain buses, shield wire, gantries, earthing, lighting, fire extinguishers, and commissioning.
Bidders must hold relevant PEC licensing, be prequalified or enlisted where required, appear on the Active Taxpayers List, and not be blacklisted. Submit the required **2% bid security**, qualification evidence, financial statements, experience certificates, integrity documents, and EHS undertakings. Pre-bid meeting: **2026-08-19 at 11:30**. Submit the electronic bid through EPADS only by **2026-08-24 at 11:00**; deliver bid security to the Rahim Yar Khan office by the same deadline. Technical bids open on EPADS at **2026-08-24 11:30**. Completion is 180 days from commencement or 30 days after final approved shutdown, whichever is later. Practical tip: inspect the live-substation site and verify all BOQ quantities, shutdown constraints, transport routes, and PEC category before pricing.
