Execution of Additional Development Works for Improvement, Renovation and Operationalization of Gulistan-e-Jouhar Fire Station, Fire Brigade Department, Karachi Metropolitan Corporation

The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) invites reputable and experienced firms to submit bids for the execution of additional development works aimed at the improvement, renovation, and operationalization of the Gulistan-e-Jouhar Fire Station under the Fire Brigade Department, KMC, located in Karachi. This tender is issued under the Single Stage One Envelope procedure through the Sindh E-Pak Acquisition & Disposal System (EPADS). Items being procured: - Dismantling iron work of trusses, sheds, water tanks - Stripping and stacking slates or tiles from truss roofing - Dismantling cement block masonry - Excavation in foundation of building and structures - Cartage of materials including aggregate, coal, lime, surkhi, MS bars, bricks - Providing and laying cement concrete solid block masonry walls - Cement plastering up to 12' height - Providing and laying glazed tiles on floor or wall - Fixing squatting type white glazed earthenware W.C. pans - Fixing European type white glazed earthenware W.C. pans with plastic seats - Fixing lavatory basins with chrome plated taps and waste fittings - Fixing bib cocks, waste and vent pipes, towel rails, toilet paper holders, soap trays, mirrors - Surface preparation and painting with matt finish and emulsion paint - Providing and fixing aluminum sheets on doors - Fixing steel sinks with plumbing connections - Supplying and fixing Muslim showers and sink mixture cocks - Providing C.I manhole covers and frames - Providing and fixing cement paving blocks flooring - Excavation for pipeline trenches - Laying RCC pipes and constructing manholes - Laying white marble flooring and cement concrete topping - Fixing fiberglass canopy and porcelain tiles - Reinforced cement concrete work and steel reinforcement fabrication The scope includes all civil, structural, sanitary, plumbing, electrical rehabilitation, finishing, and decorative works as per the Bill of Quantities and technical specifications under the supervision of the Chief Fire Officer (FB), KMC. The work site is located at Nishter Road, near KMC Workshop, Karachi. Eligibility criteria require valid Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) registration in category C-6 or above with relevant specialization codes, valid NTN and Active Taxpayer List (ATL) status, and registration with Sales Tax or Sindh Revenue Board where applicable. Bidders must have a minimum of three years of relevant experience with government or public sector organizations and must have completed similar works as specified. Bid security of 5% of the estimated cost in the form of pay order or bank guarantee in favor of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation is mandatory. Bidding documents are available for download on the EPADS portal at https://sindh.eprocure.gov.pk. Completed bids must be submitted online through EPADS by 03:00 p.m. on 02-11-2026. Original bidding document fee of Rs. 5,000/- in the form of pay order must be submitted to the office of the Director (Contract Management Wing), Finance & Accounts Department, KMC by the submission deadline. Bids will be opened on the same day at 03:30 p.m. at the same venue. Bidders are advised to ensure compliance with all eligibility and evaluation criteria and submit all required documents including hard copies of bidding proposals in sealed envelopes for verification. Non-compliance or submission of forged documents will lead to disqualification. The KMC reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids without assigning any reason. A practical tip for bidders: Carefully review the detailed Bill of Quantities and ensure all rates are quoted both in figures and words without any blanks to avoid rejection.
