AUCTION: Leasing of Commercial Shops by Estate Office Karachi

NOTE: This is an AUCTION/LEASE notice, not a procurement tender. Bidders pay the department to acquire ownership, lease, rental, or collection rights. The Regional Directorate of Estate Office Management, Government of Pakistan, invites interested individuals to participate in an open auction for leasing commercial shops under the Shop Rental Auction Policy, 2017 (amended 2023 & 2026). The Estate Office Karachi will lease these shops initially for three years on a monthly rental basis under the supervision of the Auction Committee. The auction will be held on 21st October 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Office of the Deputy Director, Estate Office Karachi, Block No. 5-B, Pak Secretariat, Saddar, Karachi. Items being auctioned for lease: - Garden Road: Dhobi Ghat 1, 2, 3, 4 (Rs. 15,000/month each) - FC Area: Shops No. 01 to 11-12, 13, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21, 23, 24, 25, 26, 29, 32 (Rs. 8,000/month each except Shop No. 11-12 at Rs. 15,000) - Clayton Road: Shop No. 07, 09 (Rs. 12,000/month each) - Martin Road: Shop No. 23 (Rs. 12,000/month) The auction requires earnest money of Rs. 30,000 in the form of Pay Order/Demand Draft in favor of Assistant Director (Estate), Estate Office Karachi, payable at Karachi. This earnest money will be refunded to unsuccessful bidders and adjusted against the successful bidder's dues. Employees of Estate Office Karachi and government contractors are not eligible to participate. Bidders must submit sealed bidding documents to the Office of the Deputy Director, Estate Office Karachi by 4:30 PM on 20th October 2026. Late submissions will not be entertained. The successful bidder must deposit one year's advance rent within ten days of auction approval and execute the lease agreement as per approved terms. Detailed bidding documents and eligibility criteria can be obtained from the Deputy Director's office during office hours against a non-refundable payment of Rs. 2,000. For bidders, a practical tip is to ensure timely submission of sealed bids and to carefully review the lease terms and conditions available at the office to avoid disqualification.
