AUCTION: Old & Obsolete Equipment and Machinery at Karachi Export Processing Zone

NOTE: This is an AUCTION/LEASE notice, not a procurement tender. Bidders pay the department to acquire ownership, lease, rental, or collection rights. The Export Processing Zones Authority (EPZA) is offering an auction of old and obsolete equipment and machinery currently stored in various warehouses at the Karachi Export Processing Zone, Landhi Industrial Area, Karachi. This auction provides an opportunity for firms and individuals with valid NTN and registration with FBR and SRB to acquire these items on an 'AS IS WHERE IS BASIS'. Items being auctioned include old and obsolete equipment and machinery placed in each Warehouse 5-B, with each warehouse's contents auctioned separately. Interested parties must submit a non-refundable participation fee of Rs 15,000 per lot by August 31, 2026. Only registered firms and participants will be allowed to participate in the auction scheduled for September 1, 2026, at 12:30 PM. The successful bidder is required to deposit 35% of EPZA's share on the highest approved bid plus 10% Advance Withholding Tax as per clause #236A of the Income Tax Ordinance 2001. Additionally, 25% advance payment must be made immediately upon declaration of success at the auction. The remaining bid amount, along with 10% Advance Withholding Tax and 35% EPZA's share, must be paid after award of work and before lifting the auctioned items. Inspection of the lots can be arranged during working hours from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, at the Karachi Export Processing Zone.
