Tender Description
This tender invites bids for the construction of a cement concrete (C.C.) block and drainage system at Village Bhanbhan, Union Council Shaikh, Taluka Sehwan, District Jamshoro. The Works & Services Department of District Jamshoro requires a qualified contractor to execute this civil works project involving site preparation, concrete block laying, and drainage installation. The project site is located in Jamshoro, Sindh, and demands careful attention to local soil and weather conditions to ensure durability and proper water management.
The scope includes supply and installation of materials, construction of drainage channels, and related civil works. Contractors must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in category C6 or above, suitable for works valued between PKR 4 million to 50 million. The contractor should have a proven track record of at least three years in similar construction projects, supported by financial statements showing a turnover of at least 80% of the estimated cost annually. The project duration is 12 months from the commencement date.
Bidders must comply with all statutory obligations including valid registrations with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and Sindh Revenue Board (SRB), active NTN status, and submission of an affidavit confirming no blacklisting or litigation. The tender requires submission of a bid security of PKR 250,000 and a security deposit totaling 10% of the contract value. Income tax at 8% will be deducted from all payments. The contractor must also provide a performance security within 14 days of contract award.
The submission deadline is set for 10:00 AM on the closing date, with bid opening at 11:00 AM on the same day at the office of the Executive Engineer Buildings Division, Works & Services Department, District Jamshoro. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes following the single-stage two-envelope procedure. The contract includes liquidated damages of 1% of the estimated cost per day for late completion.
