Cleaning of Desilting Basin, By-Pass Channel and Intake Structure of 18 MW HEPS Naltar

The Water & Power Department Gilgit-Ghizer invites sealed tenders from approved and enlisted government contractors/firms for civil engineering works under the Civil Engineering Division W&P Department Gilgit-Ghizer. The specific work involves the cleaning of the desilting basin, by-pass channel, and intake structure of the 18 MW Hydroelectric Power Station (HEPS) located in Naltar, Gilgit. Items being procured: - Cleaning of desilting basin - Cleaning of by-pass channel - Cleaning of intake structure This project requires experienced contractors with valid registration from the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in the relevant category for the fiscal year 2026-2027. Additionally, contractors must have renewed their registration with the Water & Power Department Gilgit-Baltistan for the same year. An earnest money deposit of 2% of the bid value is mandatory and must accompany the bidding documents. Conditional tenders will not be accepted, and no tender forms will be sold on the date of tender opening. Bidding documents can be collected from the office of the Executive Engineer Civil Engineering Division W&P Department Gilgit-Ghizer upon cash payment of Rs. 6,000, which is non-refundable. Submission of bids must be done by 12:00 PM on 4th September 2026, with the tender opening scheduled for 1:00 PM the same day in the presence of contractors or their representatives. Bidders are advised to ensure all documents, including original PEC certificates and CDRs, are valid and submitted in person. The department reserves the right to verify the authenticity of the information provided and will take strict action against any fraudulent submissions. In case of holidays, the tender opening will be deferred to the next working day without further notice. Contractors debarred by any region or division and notified by the Water & Power Secretariat are not eligible to participate. The procurement process will adhere strictly to GB-PPRA rules.
