Tender Description
Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) invites sealed bids from eligible and pre-qualified firms for the complete repair of 50 kVA damaged distribution transformers. This procurement is for the fiscal year 2026-27 and will be executed under contract reference P118798. The work involves repairing 84 units of 50 kVA damaged transformers retrieved from solarized agriculture transformers currently stored at the Regional Store QESCO Sheikhmanda, Quetta. Items being procured:
- Complete repair of 50 kVA damaged transformers (quantity: 84 units)
The scope includes testing and repairing transformers as per WAPDA/PPMC specifications, including induced voltage tests, high voltage tests, vector group TTR tests, dielectric strength tests of transformer oil, pressure tests with dry nitrogen gas, copper loss tests, and iron loss tests. The contractor must ensure replacement of irreparable materials with new ones and return all dismantled sub-standard materials to the Regional Store QESCO Quetta. The delivery schedule requires lifting damaged transformers within 7 days of allocation and completing repairs within 45 days on a FIFO basis. Eligibility criteria include valid PEC registration under category ME05, registration with FBR and active taxpayer list, satisfactory past performance with DISCOs/NGC, and compliance with all bidding document requirements. Bids must be submitted online via EPADS v2.0 by 11:00 AM on September 28, 2026, with bid opening at 11:30 AM the same day. Bid security and performance guarantees are required as per PPRA rules. The contract will be awarded based on Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS).
