Tender Description
The Directorate General of Archaeology Punjab invites bids for the conservation of several important historical and educational monuments located in Punjab. This tender is specifically aimed at firms registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in the relevant category with specialization BC-02 (Restoration & Conservation). The projects are based in various districts including Attock, Bahu Din, Lahore, Taxila, and Gujrat, with the main office located in Lahore.
Items being procured:
- Conservation of Historical Monuments of District Attock (Behram ki Baradari and Attock Tomb)
- Conservation of Monuments of 2nd Anglo Sikh War District Mindi Bahu Din
- Conservation of Lahore Railway Station
- Conservation of Taxila Railway Station
- Conservation of Fatima Jinnah College Gujrat
The scope of work involves specialized restoration and conservation activities on these heritage sites, requiring expertise in preservation techniques and materials suitable for historical structures. The projects demand high-quality workmanship to maintain the cultural and historical integrity of the monuments.
Eligibility criteria include PEC registration in category C-3 or above for Lahore Railway Station, C-4 or above for Taxila Railway Station and Fatima Jinnah College Gujrat, C-5 or above for Attock monuments, and C-6 or above for Mindi Bahu Din monuments. Firms must have relevant experience in conservation projects and submit a 5% earnest money of the estimated cost as CDR or bank guarantee.
The technical and financial bids must be submitted online through ep.punjab.gov.pk by 3rd August 2026 at 2:00 PM, with the technical bid opening at 2:30 PM the same day. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 27th July 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Directorate General of Archaeology, 60-A Garden Town Lahore.
Bidders should ensure all documents are complete and rates quoted against each item in DNIT/BOQs. Incomplete bids will be rejected. The earnest money must be in favor of Director General Archaeology. The original CDR must be submitted to the office before bid opening.
A practical tip for bidders is to attend the pre-bid meeting to clarify any technical or procedural queries and to carefully review the DNIT/BOQs to avoid disqualification due to incomplete or incorrect submissions.
